Steven Rae

Since progressing into his role as a Director, Steven ensures that the accounting side of clients’ businesses is running smoothly. This allows more time to work with clients to help them with their business decisions and long-term planning, both operationally and strategically.

Specialising in projections and forecasting, analysis of financial data, and systems to improve processing, Steven ensures his clients’ financial information is accurate and timely.

Steven has considerable experience in the accounting, financial and business advisory industries. He has a Bachelor of Management Studies in Accounting, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Statistics. He then undertook further study, completing a Master of Management Studies in Accounting, with all his qualifications gained from the University of Waikato.

He began his career at VazeyChild, before gaining experience overseas in financial accountancy and analysis. In these roles, Steven was tasked with reviewing and improving reporting processes, analysis of divisional performance to ensure accountability, and reporting directly to senior management to assist in their decision-making.

Steven recently started his own business with his wife so he understands the challenges business owners face. He knows what it means to turn a passion into a business, and the work involved in getting a start-up company off the ground. This experience gives Steven a unique perspective and understanding, which he applies to his clients at VazeyChild to provide well-rounded and strategic advice.
