Paul Dickey

With over 25 years’ experience in the advisory and accounting industry, Paul has built a successful career assisting a broad range of businesses across sectors including hospitality, technology and construction.

Paul has been with VazeyChild since it was founded in 1997, previously working at its predecessor Coopers and Lybrand and another national accounting firm, BDO, which he joined as a graduate from the University of Canterbury. He has been a Director at VazeyChild since 2001.

Regular reporting, projections and keeping in contact to review businesses’ performance is what Paul focuses on. He sees this as the prerequisite to developing profitable and sustainable businesses.

Paul works with a loyal, longstanding group of clients, many of which have been with him since “start-up”. He’s most proud of the work undertaken with businesses during periods of growth and in times of turmoil. Guiding clients back to stability and profitability during the Global Financial Crisis is a highlight.

Paul enjoys meeting face-to-face with his clients to talk through successes and failures, so he can advise the best way forward. He knows that before you can advise, you must first understand the business and the people.
